5 Days 4 Nights (5D4N) Travel Itinerary in Danang, Vietnam

My 2019 first vacation to Danang with my travel mate. We not really enjoy the trip as the people there are rude. But however we managed to visit quite a number of popular and new attractions in Da Nang during this 5D4N trip.


WEATHER - When is the best time to visit Da Nang?
The best time to visit the city is from February to May. During this period, Da Nang weather sees sunny skies and low humidity levels, so you can explore on foot or motorcycle taxi. Da Nang’s beaches offer an average water temperature of 25°C. You can soak up the sun and enjoy beach games during this time of the year.

Dry season: April - August
Monsoon season: September - March
Hottest months: June - August (with highest average temperature of 35°C)
Coolest months: November - January (with lowest average temperature of 18°C)


FLIGHT - How to get to Da Nang?
Air Asia has the direct access from Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) to Da Nang International Airport (PS: Da Nang is Vietnam's fifth biggest city with the international airport becoming the third busiest in Vietnam).


MOBILE CONNECTION - How to get mobile internet in Da Nang?
We purchased the sim card from klook . This probably save a lot of time to queue up at mobile counter in the airport to buy it.


TRANSPORTATION – How to get into Town / Hotel from Airports?
We get our arranged driver to pick us up from the airport to Hoi An which took us about 40 mins. As searched, the distance from Da Nang Town is only 15 mins away, approximately 7km. However, it is fine to either grab or cab to town.


HOTEL ACCOMMODATION – Where to stay?
Accommodation in Da Nang is cheap to affordable in general with class ranging from hostels to five stars resort.

Average cost for:
Hostels in Da Nang: VND 130.000/night
Boutique hotels: VND 500.000/night
4&5-star hotels: VND 2.000.000/night

We got our stay for 4 nights (1 night in Hoi An and 3 nights in Danang) at RM800 ++ ONLY.
In fact, you can see a lot of recommendation from social medial or blogs, as long as you book the hotel near Hoi An Night market in Hoi An and My Khe beach in Da Nang. After all, everyone has different requirements for accommodation. I am economical type.


CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE RATE – What I should change?
Da Nang is a part of Vietnam and the country's currency is Vietnamese Da Nang (VND).


FOOD – What to eat?
Come to this point. Oh ya, there are plenty of food recommendation on the website or even travel app like tripadvisor and etc. However, i find it Hanoi have better local taste food compared to Danang. Danang targeting korea market and most of the food introduced are korean taste mixed.

Itinerary – This is my alteration itinerary which better than what i planned.
I would recommend stay near to dragon bridge / han market. Hotel nearby mykhe is too far from town. you probably have to take grab to travel down.

Day 1 - Hotel - Danang Cathedral (1hr) - Han Market aka Cho Han (2hr) - Dinner (Danang Food Centre) - Dragon Bridge Fire Performance (10min and only on Sat) - Son Tra Night Market

Day 2 - Hotel - Hoian - Marble Mountain (Check klook package) and following by Son Tra Mountain) - hotel

Day 3 - Hotel - Bana Hill - Hotel - Helio market for dinner - Sun Wheel Park - Hotel

Day 4 - Back to your country
